So few connections, so much opportunity. Get connected, get noticed, get hired. To sit idly by and expect something to happen once you've announced your intentions will likely result in NO response, if any at all.
Harsh? Yes. But true. Being hired takes the same initiative as it did in the military to get promoted as it does in the civilian world to get noticed.
