Getting Organized In The New Year!
Author: Hannah Hall, Challenge America Program Coordinator
Many people think of the new year as a new start in many areas of their life. This week’s post is about organizing spaces in your home and spaces in your life to help you have the best 2024! These tips are taken from a blog by Lela Burris that you can read here.
Buy a Planner: As many of us know, writing things down can help us remember to do tasks, be at appointments or just remember what to get at the grocery store! Getting a planner or planner app can help keep your life organized. Here is an awesome, women owned stationery company that offers a couple of options for planners!
Create Morning and Evening Routines: Many of you may already do this, but refining your routine and making it more intentional can help you feel better and achieve more. Routines can help to lessen stress because you know what is coming. It’s important to make sure your morning routines include things to help you wake up and get set for the day and that your evening routines include tasks to help you wind down.
Tidy Your Nightstand: This is a great place to start organizing because it is small and shouldn’t take very long. Plus, sleeping next to an unorganized night stand has got to make for some unorganized sleep!
Start a Running Donation Box: This is a simple way to start organizing if you are short on time or not ready to start a big project! Make sure the box is clearly marked and centrally located so it can get the most use. Just like that – you’ve started purging!
