Amy Grant and Vince Gill are pleased to host Challenge America 2009. Since 2000, Amy and Vince have supported Challenge Aspen in various capacities, hosting golf tournaments, entertaining at fundraisers and volunteering. Over the past nine years, they have raised over $3.5 million for Challenge Aspen.
Amy Grant
Amy Grant is both an American singer-songwriter,
best known for her contemporary Christian music and
pop music, and a New York Times best-selling
author. She began recording music in the 1970s and
became a successful singer in Christian pop music. In
1991, she enjoyed mainstream pop success with the hit
song “Baby, Baby.” By the end of the
‘90s, Grant had reached celebrity status with
ties to pop, gospel and country music. As of 2007,
Grant remained the best-selling contemporary
Christian music singer, having sold over 30 million
units worldwide. She has won six Grammy Awards,
21 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards, and had the
first Christian album ever to go Platinum.
Vince Gill
After leaving the pop/country band The Pure Prairie League, Vince Gill landed a recording contract as a solo artist. During the 1990s, Gill hit his musical stride with a string of hits, including “When I Call Your Name” and “Worlds Apart.” He has earned 18 Country Music Awards, including Entertainer of the Year in 1993 and 1994. He is a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and has received 19 Grammy Awards to date, the most of any male country music artist. Gill has sold more than 26 million albums. In August of 2007, the Country Music Association inducted Gill as one of the newest members of the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame.
