Dallas is the Director of Operations at Challenge America. Prior to joining us, Dallas was an Assistant Professor of Political Science and published numerous works on the role of nonprofit organizations. In his new role, Dallas heads up the development of Challenge America Academy as well as overseeing all other aspects of our daily operations.
Prior to joining Challenge, Dallas was an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where he designed and taught a wide range of courses, including Introduction to International Relations, America Government, Global Environmental Politics, and Politics of Developing Areas.
Dallas also served as a Visiting Professor at Western State College, where he taught courses on Middle Eastern History, Political Theory, and American Government. Additionally, Dallas served as an Adjunct Professor at Colorado State University, where he taught courses in Political Theory, American Government, and International Relations. Dallas’ research and publication record focuses on the topics of global water politics and disaster risk reduction. Dallas has presented his research findings at numerous national and international conferences, was a finalist for three student-nominated teaching awards, and has the distinction of receiving the first Masdar International Blogging Award.
In a former life, Dallas was a professional whitewater raft guide on the Arkansas, Piedra, Gauley, Lochsa, Salt, New, and Colorado Rivers, to name but a few. Dallas is also a Navy veteran. Dallas is an avid reader, mountain biker, kayaker, hiker, and snowboarder.
