Maggie is our Director of Research and Development. Before joining the team, she spent several years living abroad in Buenos Aires and in London. At Challenge America, Maggie leads the research and development efforts behind our innovative, evidence-based approaches to serving the military community.
After finishing her BA in Political Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Maggie moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina to perfect her Spanish and volunteer for community development projects. She ended up staying for several years, earning a Master’s degree in International Relations and then working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Buenos Aires City Government.
Maggie also completed her Master’s in Development Management at the London School of Economics, where she immersed herself in research on the multidimensional aspects of poverty and disadvantage and led consultancy projects for CARE International and Ugandan social enterprise, Enjuba.
Happy to be back in the Rocky Mountains, Maggie loves the outdoors and staying active all year around - from backpacking and river sports in the summer to snowboarding and nordic skiing in the winter.
