Ink Sketch on paper.
I have enjoyed the splendors of the western landscape since childhood in Idaho. I studied art with an emphasis in sculpture & received a BFA from Boise State College & an MFA from The Ohio State Univ. My art education, background, and teaching were in sculpture. When I started painting, my sculptural needs were not being met until one day I started painting with a pallet knife.
I have been showing steadily in juried local, regional, and national shows with both my oil paintings and ink sketches.
Coping through Art
I feel honored and privileged to have served my country as a member of its great military. My country has generously given back to me blessings and freedoms that have allowed me and fellow citizens to pursue their creative artistic careers and exercise thoughts and expressive ambitions. This land I love, it's amazing beauty I adore, and our nation's freedoms of worship give honor to the God in whom I trust. I feel that my small part in our military may have, in some small way, contributed to our rights of expression, views, convictions, politics, religion, and moral values.
