Laurie Fox

Music Therapist

Laurie Fox, founder of NewSong Center for Music Wellness, LLC, is a Board-Certified Music Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years clinical experience. She earned her Master of Music Therapy degree and has completed extensive coursework towards the PhD in Music Therapy, both from Temple University. Laurie is also an Associate Professor and Coordinator of the Bachelor of

Music Therapy program at Seton Hill University, a post she has held since the creation of the program in 2003.

Specializing in voicework and therapeutic eurhythmics, Laurie is a music-centered clinician and presenter who engages her clients and participants in active music-making to access, develop and restore a person’s sense of their musical self, thereby enhancing their personal well-being. Ms. Fox provides music therapy and music

psychotherapy in both individual and group formats and works with children through older adults in the following areas: behavioral and mental health, neurology and personal growth.

In addition to working in the music therapy field, Ms. Fox enjoys embarking on mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic and performing regularly as a freelance musician throughout Western PA.
