Caroline Melcher
Program Coordinator
Music therapist and mezzo soprano Caroline Melcher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Voice Performance from Pepperdine University, a Music Therapy bachelor’s equivalency from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Belmont University, where she attended as a Nashville Opera fellow. At Belmont, she performed the role of "Ma" in Copland's The Tender Land and "Amastre" in Handel's Serse.
She is an alumnus of Pepperdine's opera intensive in Heidelberg, Germany, and performed in Prague with the university's Chamber Choir.
A board-certified Music Therapist, Caroline currently serves children and adolescents at a psychiatric residential treatment center as both a Music Therapist and as the Patient Advocate. Caroline has also served active-duty military members in the inpatient psychiatric setting and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
She proudly joins Challenge America as a Program Coordinator. When Caroline’s not singing or providing music therapy services, she’s enjoying cuddling with her cat Troy Bolton, playing trivia, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
