I am excited to announce that our incredible partners at Tandy Leather are hosting a giveback event this Memorial Day. 5% of sales proceeds this Monday, May 27th will be donated to our organization to support CAVARTS!
Tandy Leather brings so much to our organization, including providing donated guitar straps for our Music Therapy Retreats, hosting the CAVARTS Tandy Leather Competitions, hosting give-back events at their stores to support our programs, letting us borrow the one, the only Scott Curtis to host the Tandy Leather Workshops, and so much more!
There is also a discount always available to CAVARTS students that can be acquired by calling ANY Tandy Leather store in the US and identifying yourself as a CAVARTS student. All CAVARTS students are entitled to a 10% for Veteran/Active Military Status.
We recommend all workshop participants call their local Tandy Leather store and get to know the personnel. This will ensure you get any discounts and special offers you are entitled to, and will keep you up to date on happenings within the store including additional classes and special events!
New to leather crafting?
CAVARTist Scott Curtis from Tandy Leather hosts monthly workshops live on Zoom and they are awesome! All workshops are recorded then posted in the Tandy Leather Workshop space in CAVARTS. Scott recommends watching the live workshop, asking questions while he works, and then referencing the workshop recording to complete the project afterwards.
Calling all guitarists!
We will be holding an additional guitar strap workshop this month on Thursday, May 30th with our amazing partners at Guitars 4 Vets and Tandy Leather to commemorate Mental Health Awareness Month. Following the workshop, there will be a competition throughout the month of June for PTSD Awareness month.
